Our fully accessible kitchen
Our kitchen, designed to support independent living for guests with limited mobility and wheelchair users, offers an open plan space where families and friends can cook, socialise and enjoy time together.
We wanted to create a kitchen space that wasn’t just wheel chair friendly, but that also promoted independent cooking and supported autonomy for wheel chair users.
Accessible features
include rise and fall sink and hob unit, promoting inclusivity and enabling wheelchair access, slide away oven doors and pull out hot plates to enable you to safely unload hot dishes from the oven. You can laos enjoy easy access to the kitchen tap and a waterfall edge on the kitchen units to stop any spillages ending up on your lap.
Our kitchen is part of a large, open plan living space, where there is plenty of room to manouever with instant, step free access to our extensive, wrap around gardens through large biofold foors.
