Relax in Our Accessible Garden this Spring

As the days begin to lengthen and the sun makes a welcome appearance, there is no better time to plan a peaceful escape. Our tranquil, wheelchair-friendly wrap-around gardens are beautifully cared for, offering a private sanctuary for guests seeking an accessible holiday home in Somerset.

Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living

Filled with an abundance of floral and herbal displays, our gardens offer the perfect opportunity to soak up the sunshine and enjoy the very best of the British countryside.

Designed with inclusivity in mind, the Barn offers easy wheelchair access through large bi-folding doors. These connect the open-plan living space and the fully accessible ground-floor bedroom to the patio, making the transition to the outdoors completely seamless.

The gardens are large enough for younger guests to play freely and discover our little pond. In the summer months, it becomes a hub for local wildlife, attracting dragonflies, tadpoles, and waterlilies.

Accessible Al Fresco Dining & Local Wildlife

Our large outdoor garden dining area is equipped to cater for the whole group. With ample outdoor seating, a parasol, comfortable cushions, and a fully equipped BBQ, it’s the ideal spot for a Somerset summer evening.

For those seeking a more sheltered spot or extra views, follow the accessible path to the pergola. From here, you can enjoy stunning views across the meadows. Hidden in the grass is a hardcore track, purposefully designed to enable guests with limited mobility or wheelchair users to reach the adjacent meadow. This is where our famous Highland cattle can often be seen grazing.

Whether you are looking for a wheelchair-accessible retreat near Ilminster or a family-friendly barn with plenty of space, our gardens are ready to welcome you.

Who else is ready to wave goodbye to winter and book their Somerset spring break?
